Mobile Hostage situation

Post here from now on with mobile hostage situation.

*I hear Nick come out of his office and brief us. I immediately check my watch and decide that I can continue cooking the eggs so that we can at least have something to eat on our way to the target. When I hear Nick tell me my orders, I nod and start determining what I can do to get the computers. I decide that I can help the guys best by carrying a 416, so I turn to Volk and request he get me one from the armory as I head into my office. I slide my key card through and start grabbing all of our technological equipment that is not already loaded onto the aircraft. I make sure that I have all of my negotiating equipment including go-phones, microphones, etc. I ready my equipment and head to the kitchen. I shut the stove off and remove the eggs, leaving them on the counter for anyone who wants something to eat before heading to the aircraft. I head in to my little area and put my stuff down where it belongs and head up to my office to change into my tactical gear. I check my watch again, making sure that I am on time and won't be left since I know that Owen has a tendency to do that.*

*I get off the phone and look at the clock across the room above the door. I check my time again and then shut the door. I look at my notes as I grab my Arid's and see that they are all in my Go-bag at the door. I grab my personal MDC and tuck that in the rear portion of the go bag and jog down to the aircraft. I see Payne checking the systems as I walk over to the front of the aircraft and put my stuff up next to the crew chief spot and turn to the guys. I decide to walk out of the side door since the guys are backing the GMV and a Suburban into the rear of the cargo hold. I see Hail directing Robert into the plane with the vehicles. I sigh knowing how tight of a fit it will be even though it's our C-5. I make sure that we have privacy curtains in the aircraft for when everyone begins to change. I check my watch and see that it's time for us to go. I muster everyone in the cargo hold and quiet everyone down.*

'Gentlemen and lady, we're wheels up in 20 minutes. I need to have everything in the aircraft because 30 minutes from now is going to be bad time to realize you forgot the scope on the rifle.'

*I glance at Payne and point to him before I continue talking.*

'We're gonna organize in the air for a faster response time. We'll dress out first and then we'll start a brief. Mr. Volk, I need a readout of all of the weapons we have onboard. Mr. Steve, I need information for gas, oil, and provisions on the vehicles. Mrs. LeBlanc, I need to know what comms gear we have onboard. Mr. Payne, well, if the plane goes down, we're eating you first. You guys get that in 10 minutes. I'm gonna call for a launch order, and then we'll be up in the air shortly after. Final systems check and get us on the tarmac, Mr. Owen.'

*I wait for anything from the guys before walking past them and the vehicles to get to the rear of the aircraft. I call the tower from the phone system that is still hooked into the base from the aircraft and call for a launch order. Once we're good with that, I check my side arm and my radio battery and walk to the front of the plane as Owen pulls up the cargo ramp.*

'Reports, gents.'

*I nod when I hear Nick call for a status report and what we are carrying. I head back to the rear of the aircraft and meet with him as the other guys are preparing the rest of their stuff before they head to met us. I let Nick know about the weapons that I am carrying and how much computer power I have packed. I ask if there is anything else that we know about that I can prepare for before we leave, and he tells me that there isn't. I nod and head to the front of the aircraft as I see Miller pulling the rear door as we all get ready to head out.*

*I cheek to see if I have all of my stuff*
"That's good" *I murmur to myself as I see that I got everything. I then get out my notepad that has all of the information for the vehicles on it.*
"Hey boss," I call to Nick, "The vehicles have full tanks, the oil was changed about a month ago, and the provisions should last us 4 days if something goes wrong. Is there anything else that needs doing?"

*I nod when I head Robert tell me that he has everything and all of the vehicles are good when he asks me if I need anything else, I shake my head.*

'Get on board, and let's roll.'

*I see Payne come up and fill me in with Volk's information as I nod. I climb on and walk upstairs from the side door to the front of the craft. I let Owen know and then walk back to my seat as he pulls up the rear door. I walk to my seat and make sure that all of my stuff is tied down so that it doesn't slide. I point to Hailey and tell her through the coms to call FBI and let them know that we are responding. I hook into the intercom and key it once to make sure that the system works as Owen lifts off the tarmac. I turn to look at the few guys crammed in in front of the vehicles and key the intercom again.*

"Thank you for flying SIAU airlines gentlemen and lady. My name is Captain LeBlanc and I'll be your stewardess team leader today. We'll be inserting into New Mexico and then chasing an 18 wheeler full of gang members. Please keep your seatbelt on when we are taking off, landing, or our pilot decides to be an idiot. We would also like to remind you that the air sickness bags are non existent and if you puke, we will clean it up with you. If you didn't bring your own peanuts, sucks to be you and we have no drinks. Have a nice flight!"

*I let go of the PTT and see that we've leveled off as Owen clears us to get up. I get up and walk over to the cockpit and see Payne climb out of the copilot seat and Robert gets in. I walk back with the guys to the rear of the aircraft where I see the vehicles secured. I walk over to the GMV and pull my BDUs out and start to change into my tactical stuff. I get my Fire uniform and drape it across the tailgate as I pull on my BDUs. I leave my vest off and hanging from the rail as I pull on my operator cap and walk back to Hailey. I make sure that she's confirmed that we are inbound as I nod and walk back to the GMV where I pull on my vest. I do my buckles and zippers before I grab my uniform and walk back to my seat where I grab my weapons. I pull my hip holster off and convert to a leg holster for my Glock and then start readying my 416. I make sure that is ready as I start inserting magazines and various gear into my vest and my BDU pants. I walk back to the GMV and pull my helmet covering onto of my helmet to get in a full Multicam arid uniform as I nod to Hailey since she has to wait for everyone to finish before she can head to change. I start up a conversation while trying to relax before we strategize in the final hour in.*

*I let the FBI know that we are enroute while trying to talk over the engine noises.  I chuckle and shake my head as I hear Nicholas's speech and start to listen to my new playlist.  I sit while the guys all go to change.  I look out of the window thinking about whatever comes to mind and fall asleep.  I wake up a bit later when I get told I can change.  I remove my earbuds from my ears and walk to the back of the plane.  I try to open some of the doors of the cars and get behind them since I don't want to be changing in front of everyone.  I take off my fire uniform and put on the tactical stuff.  I make sure my Glock is chambered but on safe and put it in my thigh holster.  I hope I won't need it, as I hope that no one will need their weapons, but if it comes to it, I'd rather have it.  I shut the doors and carry my fire uniform to the rest of my stuff.  I pull my headset on and flip it to the wireless team communications, leaving the mic above my head as I start to transfer the gear into the vehicles since we'll be landing soon.  I see the rest of the guys shooting the breeze, so I pull my mic down and key it.*

"Anyone want to give me some help with loading, or not?"

*I wait around in the cargo bay as we fly over the various states en route to New Mexico. As I sit there, I can't help but think of something I heard about aircraft a while back. <It's a cage you see. The electives, the cables and wires, keep you alive. You know, your eyeballs freeze up at an altitude of... 20,000 feet. Then the flack comes in, thick and heavy. You won't get out, not when it dives at 300 knots. There's a beast deep inside you, it will not die... It will fight back!!> Then I wonder about my family, all dead now, and wonder what they're thinking. Then I get out of my thoughts and listen to Nicks speech.*

"Well then, no peanuts eh, it's a good thing I brought more than peanuts, I brought drinks too."

*I wait for the team members to shout their praise for the drinks and snacks, knowing it might be a figment of my imagination.*

"Please, save your applause. Those trigger fingers need to depress triggers and make the bad guys go splat."

*I then begin mumbling a prayer to my God-Emperor.*

"I am the hammer, I am the right hand of the Emperor, the instrument of His will, the gauntlet about His fist, the tip of His spear, the edge of His sword."

*I let everyone know to help Hale pack the vehicles as I hear confirmation from Owen that we're coming in for a landing. I send Payne back to the front of the aircraft in the copilot's seat as I take my seat and hook back into the aircraft coms. I hook my seatbelt up as we descend. I listen to some more of my music until I feel the plane come to a halt. I know that we aren't in the hangar where we are supposed to be, but it will be quicker to offload the aircraft here. I unbuckle my seatbelt and come off of the aircraft coms before turning my tactical headset on as I sing my weapon across me. I do a final check of my stuff as I pull the mic down to my mouth and adjust it to where it should be. I walk to the rear of the craft as Payne and Robert move the vehicle from the rear of the doors. I look to Hailey who is standing next to me as we are walking off.*

'Call the IC and let them know that we will be there within 20 minutes and see if you can find a place they want us to stop the vehicle. I'll go over the game plan before we head out while Owen puts the plane to sleep. I'll meet you at the vehicles.'

*I put my sunglasses on and see Robert and Payne already have the vehicles off of the aircraft and are going over them for a final set of checks. I reach into the command Suburban and pull out a road and topographical map of the area. I look around and see our PD escort still getting through the gates. I set my mic to the open setting so that everything that I say will be documented.*

"SIAU Team 1, gather around. Game planning time."

*I see everyone but Owen coming, and I can brief him later. I unfold the map and press it on the hood of the Suburban.*

'All right guys, we don't know where this guy is yet, but that's why Hale is on the phone. She's gonna be our talker. Payne, I need you to be ready with a M-82 round to stop this truck. I don't know how this is gonna work with PD, but consider me god on when you shoot. Robert, I need you to drive the GMV. You are going to be the engaging unit. Payne, ride with them. You are manning the .50 should something happen. Owen will drive me and Hale. Hale will work as the third seat and I'll be the second. When we get there, Owen is going to protect her and make sure that no one tries to sneak up behind her and end the negotiations that way. I will head up to the front with the GMV and meet Robert and Payne. We will engage because I am sure that is coming to a firefight. Robert, I need you to cover me. Payne, watch the trailer and make sure that no one else tries to sneak out. I also need you to make sure that you have the hostage taker in your sights. After any shooting ends, I need everyone to see if there are any wounded because I'll take them. I have an ALS bag in the Suburban and I have a fast action kit on me. Any tactical decisions go through me. If PD tries to make s decision, call me and stop it. I'll clear it if it's a good move. Before we get to any wounded cops, I am going to cover Robert and we're gonna try and put a go phone through the window to talk if Hale can't get into the CB radio. Once we leave this gate, we're going to call signs only (that nicknames in your signatures, guys). Questions?'

*I stand and wait for any questions as I play with my helmet in my hand. I check everyone to see that they and their gear are ready and then I check to see if they are ready mentally. I nod when I see that everyone is good while waiting for any questions.*

*I nod as Nicholas tells me to check on the position and notify the commanders of our progress. I authenticate the call and make initial contact. I also call the lab’s security people and let them know that we are close to the scene, and I ask them for any information that I can get from them. I tune one ear into the briefing and one into the phone call. When I hear my riding assignment, I nod and sigh. I let everyone know what information that I have as I see the escort detail approach us. I make sure that my gear is accessible and I flip my 416 to semi automatic and adjust my ACOG since I might have to be engaging at range. I figure that I had better get the TIC ready incase I have to see where the guys are in the truck, so I climb over the seat and make sure that it is working. I let Nicholas know of my plan before we head in. I continue to check my GPS on my MDC to figure out where the truck is. I talk over the sirens with the guys as I leave my operator cap on the seat and pull on my helmet as we get closer.*

‘This outta be fun. I can cover them if you want me too, Boss.’

*I think of the nickname that I’m unaccustomed to using or hear and chuckle to myself as I wait for an answer.*

*I look around and see everyone ready, waiting for my go order. I nod and adjust my operator cap.*

‘All right then ladies and gentleman, let’s mount up.’

*I get into the passenger’s seat of the Suburban and head out to the call. I flip the siren and lights on as we fall in behind PD. We stop at the gates as I wait for the GMV to head in behind us since they have the two new guys to deal with. I look back at the road and update the mounted MDC to make sure that we are marked responding. I see the GMV come up and the PD units take off again in front of us. I adjust the position of my rifle as I pull up the GPS on the MDC so I can see it along with Owen. I turn and grab the ALS bag from Hail’s feet and put it on the console in case we should take fire. I know that we’re probably faster than the GMV, but I know that because it’s a more stable platform for Payne and his rifle, it needs to leapfrog us once we get to the case. I grab a pair of binoculars and start to look ahead for the truck. I find it and point it out to Owen.*

‘Right there! Right there!’

*I look on the map and see that there is an overpass. I key the mic and look at the open badlands.*

“Echo Actual to Echo 1-2. There is a path to an overpass to the starboard side, I need you to cut across the badlands there and take it out. It’s at your 2:30 in two miles. You’ll have no escort, so stay frosty. Copy?”

*I look out at the mountains in the distance and hope that these guys can’t get into the lab or into the mountains because that won’t be fun.*

*I hear Nicks orders to move to our 2:30 and tell Robert to get ready.*

"Robert, we need to move to our 2:30 and work the bogies over from the overpass. Get me over there and then wait till the shooting starts."

"Boss, when I get there, Hoss needs to be talking them out of the situation. If she can't, I am going to put a .50 into the engine block."

*I wait for the answer from Robert to get me to the overpass and Nick to give me the go-ahead to wait for the bogies*

"Oh, if they get on my nerves, we may have some more injuries to deal with."

*I shake my head as I hear Payne come over the radio.*

"Negative, Echo 1-2. First of all callsigns. Second of all, you will be stopping the truck with the SASR on my orders. Advise when in position."

*We all get ready as I hope that the guy has no idea where we are going. I lean out of the side of the Suburban and yell to some of the SWAT guys from the local PD to get them up to sped.*

*I hear Nick say this and wonder why he won't let me give the engine block a firm killing. It sounds like fun to knock the crap out of something. And aside from that, it will probably go through the engine block and wreck the whole vehicle.*

"Aye sir. You want me to hold and wait for your orders, then so be it. But mark my words, something is going to end up mangled."

*I shake my head as I realize that all I get to do is make stuff go splat. Then I revel in the feeling of total destruction of everything on the end of the M82's barrel.*

*I hear Payne tell me what is gong to happen and I shake my head. I turn to Hale who is just chuckling and looking at me. I shake my head back at her, and let him continue. As we approach the truck, I key the mic.*

"Vulture from Boss. Are you in position yet?"

*I hear Boss ask a simple question.*

"Vulture to Boss, we are in position, awaiting your orders, over."

"Roger, standby."

*As we get closer, I feel Owen pass the PD units as we take the lead. I see the overpass ahead of us and I look around before I authorize the shot to make sure that no people get in the way. When I see it's clear, I turn to Hale.*

'Weapons up.'

*I get my 416 ready and open my door a crack so I can get out faster.*

"Vulture, you're clear to fire."

*I feel Owen slow up a bit as I view the thermal one last time before I get ready to step out and start blasting. I see Volk ready his weapon in the seat behind Owen as I wait for the truck to stop. I notice that six of the eighteen tires are gone, meaning that the guy is driving on the pretty heavy rims, so it will take a while to stop unless Payne puts the shot in the right place.*

*As the new Recruit to the SIAU, I enter Lt. LeBlanc's Surburban. I then proceed to introduce myself.*

*I hear Dan introduce himself as I wait for Payne to give me a shot out and to hit the truck.*

'That's a hell of a thing to do right now. Let's save the meet and greet until after we get this woman away from the guy with the gun and the guys with the guns away from the nuclear material first, huh?'

*I wait for Payne to copy me as I key the mic.*

"Vulture, you got my shot yet?!"

*As I hear the order to fire, I slow my breathing and steady my aim. Then, almost subconsciously, I depress the trigger and wait for the round to tear open the engine block.*

"Shot out!"

*As I say these words, I work the bolt and have another shell ready to go. With this, I intend to kill the tango in the cab. I depress the trigger once more and wait for the shot to rip out across the space and punch a hole the size of a dinner plate in the tango's chest.*

*I hear the shot out as I hear the bending of metal and the groaning of the truck as the engine kills, with the truck gradually slowing. I make sure my mic is on before I glance at Hale's calf as she stands through the sunroof on the console, covering us as we roll in.*

"Vehicle is stopped. Echo 1-2, I need you to meet us at the rear of the truck."

*As we slow with the truck, I see that we're on the away side of the truck so I turn to the guys as Hale ducks her head back inside, ready to get out.*

'Exit's right! Exit's right!'

*As I climb out, I hear the glass shuddering as ten bad dudes come out of the truck firing. I realize that the vehicle is still moving as Owen tries to shield himself and Volk from the fire. I see Hale and Forest with me as I continue moving with the truck, covering the guys. I fire off an entire magazine at the truck. Although inaccurate due to the moving SUV and my attempts to keep up with it, watching for the other guys, and being an attempt to lay down suppressive fire. As we stop, I press myself behind the engine block and switch magazines. I realize that there I haven't been communicating with 1-2, so I quickly start communicating with them. I yell over the din of gun fire as I stay in my little protection as I count the heads I see. I see Owen working with his handgun until he can get some cover and deploy his rifle. I realize that the mic is on open, so I just speak upland get my conversation in with 1-2.*

"ECHO 1-2, ECHO 1-2, BE ADVISED. ECHO 1-1 IS IN CONTACT, TAKING FIRE. I GOT 10 HEAVILY ARMED ASSHOLES HERE. THIS WILL BE A HOT INFILL FOR YOU."

*I pop up from my stance and start laying down some accurate bursts. I clip two of the guys as I disappear behind the vehicle, looking for Volk since I don't see him. I look back and see Hailey with her 416, trying to be as accurate as possible. I drop to my chest, knowing that a ricochet could end me, but I have to find Volk. I see him lying up against the door of the vehicle, sitting, firing his 1911. I see his M-27 dropped next to him and hear him struggling to fire since he took a round in the collarbone above the vest, and I don't see any exit wound. I crawl under and grab his 27. I pass it back to the guys and ask for some cover fire.*

'VOLK IS DOWN! I NEED COVERING FIRE AS I PULL HIM TO THIS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. HALE, GET DOWN HERE AND HELP ME BEFORE YOU KEEP SNIPING THESE GUYS!'

*I wait for confirmation as I reach up and grab the pull on the back of Volk's body armor.*

*As I hear Nick shouting for cover fire, I work the bolt and get rounds pinging off the side of the trailer. One guy makes the last mistake he will ever make as he backs up to try and run to the front of the vehicle. His head disappears in a spray of red. Quickly the bolt is already moving.*

"Boss, tangoes moving around the vehicle. Giving them second thoughts as they come around. Over."

*As soon as this is said, another tango moves out of cover and loses everything from the stomach up. Again, several men run from their place of hiding. I put one round downrange that kills two of them. The third quickly dives for cover.*

*I hear Payne engaging people as they head back to us. I shake my head as he continues to engage.*

"VULTURE! STAND DOWN! I NEED THE GUYS DRAWN OFF OF ME AND I NEED YOU GUYS OVER HERE. DO NOT ENGAGE THE TANGOES. I NEED DIRECT FIRE SUPPORT FROM YOU AT THIS LOCATION!"

*I see my opportunity to pull Volk back to our side of the vehicle as I yell my plan to the guys. I start pulling Volk, as he reaches for another magazine of his .45 acp. I get him on the side of the vehicle that I need and turn to Hailey. She hands me the ALS bag as I start to dress Volk's wounds. I see him shudder as I immediately move to check his pulse. When I don't find one, I immediately start doing compressions. I turn to Hailey who is just watching me.*

'C'mon! We have to get him going!'

*I wait for her to make a move, knowing that all of my efforts will be in vein.*

*Nick's orders come in loud and clear. But, I put another shot downrange and see a small puff of red. I hope that I killed the tango, but I probably only wounded him, he will die later from blood-loss.*

"Yes, Boss. Moving out now."

*I look to Robert and motion him to get us moving. He complies and I have a few seconds to slam my first reload into the M82.*

"Boss, we are coming in hot, prepping to engage."

*As soon as Robert is driving us over towards the truck, I have reloaded the M82 and will be ready to put in a withering hail of fire on the tangoes. I also realize that I may need to get Robert to slam into the back of the truck so I can get in close and dispatch the bad guys with my .45 ACP.*

*I nod as Nick calls me to weapons up. I make sure my fire selector is set up correctly and my sights are dialed in as I slide the cover back from the sun roof and take a stable stance on the console and sight in on the truck. I listen to the comms while trying to make sure that I don't get knocked out of the truck due to the wind. I debate asking Owen to slow down, but I know that we need to hang tough with the truck, so I put up with it. As we get ready to stop the truck, I get ready to start taking shots. As the truck stops, I gently begin applying pressure to the trigger until the doors open. I pop off the first round in the middle of two of them who freak out. I readjust my aim at the taller one and hit him in the right eye due to the movement. As we stop, I duck my head down before I get hit as I watch rounds fly into the windshield as I leap out of the truck. I roll a few times and then get on my feet and start working on the guys. I hear Nick tell me to get under the car, so I push myself underneath the Suburban and continue to fire at the guys. I try to help Nick pull Volk from the other side and then grab his ALS bag before I see the funny extent of Volk's injuries. I stand back while I watch Nick start doing compressions to bring his friend back to life. When he yells at me to help him, I don't step in since I know that there is no possible way that we can help Volk. After pulling Nick off of Volk, I notice he's trying to regain his composure. I start to attempt to console him, but I know that this is not the time or place. I get back under the car and resume my targeting by dropping three more guys until I realize that I'm out of ammunition. I struggle to pull another magazine from my vest in the small space under the vehicle before I take out the final target. I let out a large breath and slide out. I call all targets eliminated as I look over and see Payne sitting on the top of the GMV with the .50 trying to use it as a CQB weapon. I shake my head, but I refrain from saying anything as I hit Nicholas and try to get him back in the game. I turn to Dan and the rest of the guys who are watching us.*

'All right. Phase II. Track (Dan Forest... Forest Gump?), I need the bull horn. Breacher (Robert), I need you to see if you can get me into that comms system. Nick, are you good to take tactical command?'
